Naked

It is a honor and a privilege for me to share my thoughts with you all. I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the founder of this platform. She is a true blessing for reminding us constantly that we were created in his image and likeness. I thank God for your life and may He continue to bless the work of your hands.

When this opportunity came to me, I asked,” God, Lord what should I tell your people?”Then He said, “ What about ‘Nakedness’? ”

Ok. First of all, let me tell you from now that it is a long reading and I won’t apologize for it.

I pray that you’d be open to receive from it, pray about it and share it, for this is where its power resides.

Before I even start, I don’t know if you know the only way to God which is through Christ Jesus, The Way, the Light and the Truth, if not I pray after you read this His Spirit brings forth conviction to your heart, so you may accept Him as Lord and Savior.

Alright, let’s get it started!

So… Why Nakedness?

Simple.

Without nakedness, it’s impossible to experience true intimacy.

Married people can correct me on this if I’m wrong, but it becomes natural to trust their loved one in the beautiful exchange. They are both naked. Every flaw is exposed and yet they choose to love each other despite of what they may see. It’s the same way with God, God loves us, despite of what we are made of or what we’re dealing with.

He created us.

True nakedness appeals you to be transparent. Transparency will bring you at His feet to either repent when you’re wrong or seek for wisdom when you’re confused. It’ll be foolishness to think that we, His creation, can hide anything from Him. How can you hide something from a God who knows everything? Who is everywhere and have endless power over everything?! But since the veil was obscuring our revelation of who He truly is, it has become difficult to experience true nakedness without feeling ashamed. I often question God about nakedness and He simply disseminate it to me like this: Writing a story on a blank page is easier than writing on one full of sentences. Also, a wise man once told me, “It’s easier to teach a child than a grown up.” What they meant by this is, both, the child and the blank page, somehow, acknowledge their dependence to be filled. They are then positioned to receive. Nakedness makes you vulnerable. Vulnerability will lead you to develop a relationship. Having a relationship with God is the most beautiful thing in this world. It’s allowing God to be the only Source in Transposing the truth, speaking life and stirring up the light he was once spoken since the beginning. That’s all God wanted from us, true relationship based on love and trust. He loves us, we trust Him in His love for us. Talking about such a wonderful God makes you probably think… Why would we not position ourselves to receive from a God who knows everything, who is everywhere and has endless power over everything?

Let’s go back in the scriptures:

Adam and his wife, were both naked and they felt no shame (Genesis 2:25).

Our descendants, Adam and Eve, have eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, trading relationship and dependence with knowledge and independence. This part of the scripture is mentioned before the fall. As I was reading this chapter, I came to realize that it wasn’t the introduction of sin that has brought the shame in the mankind, it is the knowledge of their true nature after eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Then, they tried to hide themselves from God. The fall of mankind has begun, and he was separated from God. Consequently, his trespass resulted in condemnation.

But God… had this situation handled.

“For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more. “

Romans 5:19-20.

All this to remind us as believers and faithful sinners, that it’s His grace and His grace alone that allows us to have an intimate relationship with Him. Nothing in our being is attracted to Him, but His grace allows us to fall in love with Him.

I pray that you experience true nakedness where you talk to Him like you talk to a friend, were you run to Him no matter what the situation you’re in and trusting Him that

He will make it work for your good.

Let me remind you that

He is sovereign

He is God, alone

On his throne

He is a Good Father

A provider, a protector

involved in the lives of his own.

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. “ John 1: 12-13.

With Love,

Johanna.
