Just Be You

To start off, I’m going to be completely honest when Wolkenzye asked me to write a feature post on "The Master's Piece" blog I was so excited that I didn’t have to think twice about it; but I immediately told her of course I would. At that very moment, I had no idea or clue about what the topic would be but I thought : hey whatever topic I was going to get should be easy to write about, since I enjoy writing. But when she told me that I was going to be writing about being the best you! I was shocked because what she was asking me to write about is something I’m currently battling with, which is being myself and being the best me. I find quite amusing and I know its God doing. So to anyone who is reading this I hope you find strength and receive encouragement as I write about something I tried avoiding yet end up having to speak on it.

  • Being The Bold You

Anyone that knows me knows that I have a tendency of being shy/ timid, but there are times where I can be bold like I was earlier when I received a request from Wolkenzye; not knowing the outcome of it and that is the beauty of being the bold you. Google and I believe that being bold is showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous. Meaning that being bold is an ability that we all carry. It allows us to have confident and be courageous in taking risks. Being bold is being a risk taker. It enables you to accomplish things that you never though you would. It gives you the confident to give it all you got, and the courage to continue and push on, even if you failed the first time. So out with the old, in with the bold.

  • Being The True You

I learned that the only way you can be true to yourself, is if you don't conform! (Roman 12:2) "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

It is easier said than done but I realize that in life, the only way you'll be able move forward is if you remain true to yourself and others. I'm not saying that you won't need some screws adjusted here and there while being the true you, but that you can be you in your own skin without having to play a different role or hide under a mask. It's okay to be you even if society disagrees with it. Most of the time we are afraid to show our true self because we fear rejection or fear that we won't be accepted. To be realistic, you shouldn't care what society have to say; because at the end of the day opinions aren't facts and you should stop worrying about what the world think about you!

Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply from good books - especially the Bible, build a shelter against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and pray for guidance every day." - John Wooden

  • Being The Best You

I leave you with this note, to be the best you is to fulfill your purpose. Even if you have no idea what your purpose is as of now, try to figure it out and once you have, just keep going after it, keep pushing and fight for yourself in order to be great. So don't settle for being the best you but be the purposeful you.
